In short
Los Angeles law firm marketing means showing up where LA clients look: the Google map, Spanish-language results, neighborhood searches and AI answers. It also means answering fast when they call. Naelar sets up ads, local SEO, websites and intake for law firms, with California and Los Angeles first, working remotely from England. Every lead stays exclusive to your firm, and nothing goes live until your attorneys sign it off.
Attorney marketing near me: what should a Los Angeles firm look for?
What is attorney marketing near me? It is help getting found by people in your county who need a lawyer. That means ads, your Google Business Profile, local pages and a fast reply when they call.
Does the marketer need to be near you? Local knowledge of courts, neighborhoods and languages helps, but the test is what the work signs. Ask any lawyer marketing consultant for inquiries and signed cases by source. Naelar works remotely, from England, for Los Angeles firms.
What does attorney advertising near me involve? Ads shown to people in your county, with your firm's name and the city, town or county of a real office on them.[6] The case type changes the work, so read our pages for personal injury firms and immigration firms.
What makes the Los Angeles market different?
Los Angeles has more lawyers competing for the same searches than anywhere else in California. Its clients also search in more than one language.
The State Bar of California's table of attorneys by county is undated and changes as records change, so these are the figures read on October 27, 2026.[1] No other county comes close.[1]
58,858
Active attorneys in Los Angeles County, more than a third of the 172,425 in the whole table.[1]

18,623
Active attorneys in Orange County, the next county in the table.[1]

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County describes itself as running "the nation's largest trial court system".[2]
Our county-by-county table of active attorneys in Los Angeles County and the rest of California has the same counts.
Our firm-size count shows that most Los Angeles firms have one lawyer. To see which case types are most crowded, read Los Angeles lawyers by practice area.

Show the numbers
| Practice area on the profile | Los Angeles attorneys |
|---|---|
| Labor and employment | 6,198 |
| Personal injury | 5,767 |
| Criminal law | 3,656 |
| Trusts and estates | 2,828 |
| Family law | 2,353 |
| Workers' compensation | 2,222 |
| Immigration | 1,852 |
Labor and employment is the longest bar, and its search side is on our employment lawyer marketing page. Naelar's US work starts with California, and Los Angeles comes first within it. The search results on this page are LA results, and the rules below are California's.
What do Los Angeles search results look like?
In four of the six searches we checked, a Google map with three or four local firms came first. Below it came directories, big injury firms and, for Spanish searches, a separate set of firms.
We checked six searches on October 17, 2026, set to a phone in Los Angeles, through the DataForSEO API. These are snapshots. Results move by the day and by the street the searcher is on.
| Search | What showed first | What it means for your firm |
|---|---|---|
| personal injury lawyer los angeles | A map with three LA injury firms, then firm sites mixed with directories such as LawInfo, Forbes and the Cornell lawyer directory | You compete with directories as well as other firms, and the map takes the first screen |
| car accident lawyer near me | A map with four LA firms. The plain results below were mostly directories, some for other cities entirely | For "near me" searches your Google Business Profile matters more than any page on your site |
| car accident lawyer van nuys | A Google AI Overview, then firms with their own Van Nuys pages and a Super Lawyers listing | People do search by neighborhood. That day, firms with their own Van Nuys pages filled most of the first page |
| abogado de accidentes los angeles | A map with three firms using Spanish names, then Spanish pages from LA firms, a Facebook page and a directory | Spanish search is its own results page, with its own competitors |
| abogado de inmigracion cerca de mi | A map with three immigration firms, then Yelp lists for LA neighborhoods | Reviews and the profile carry the Spanish "near me" search too |
| immigration lawyer los angeles | A Google AI Overview, then firm sites. One leads with English, Persian and Spanish, another presents itself as a Filipino immigration attorney | LA immigration firms stand apart by language and community, so say plainly which ones you serve |
Search results as of October 17, 2026.
We also checked what a firm sees when it searches for an SEO agency. On the same day, Google's US results for "los angeles law firm seo" showed no AI Overview. The first page was agency pages, ranked lists of agencies and press releases. If you hire from a list like that, our guide to choosing a law firm SEO company has the questions to ask.
What does SEO for a Los Angeles law firm involve?
SEO for a Los Angeles law firm starts with a Google Business Profile at a real office. Then comes one useful page per case type, and steady reviews. Spanish pages follow if your firm can serve clients in Spanish.
Profile and reviews
The map decides most of the first screen, and the map runs on your Business Profile. It has to sit at an address you really work from. Google's guidelines say that if a location is "also known as a virtual office, that location isn't eligible for a Business Profile".[4] A firm with two real offices in the county can have a profile at each.

Reviews come from asking every signed client, the same way and at the same point in the case. Our local SEO and AI search page covers profiles, reviews and AI answers in full.
Case-type pages
Then write for the cases you want: one page for car accidents, one for slip and fall, one for each immigration matter you take. Our SEO guide for immigration firms lists the case-type searches worth a page.
Family and criminal defense firms do the same with divorce and charge pages, which the SEO guide for family lawyers and the criminal defense lawyer SEO guide cover. For the car accident and slip and fall pages, see how injury firms plan their pages.
Neighborhood pages
Neighborhood pages are where firms get into trouble. Google's spam policies name "pages targeted at specific regions or cities that funnel users to one page" as doorway abuse.[3] Add a neighborhood page only where you have an office or real local detail, such as the courthouse your cases go to.
How to judge it
Judge it by inquiries and signed cases, not by rank. In our injury check, older firms and directories held the first page, so expect slow movement. We don't promise rankings to anyone.
What should a Los Angeles law firm website have?
A site that works on a phone and puts the call button first. It names the responsible attorney and an office, and has Spanish pages only if someone can answer in Spanish.
We ran the checks above as phone searches, so the table shows what a phone user sees. A Los Angeles firm site needs:
- A fast load on a phone and an easy way to call.
- An inquiry form that lands in your CRM with the page it came from, so intake can see which case type the person wants.
- Spanish pages, when someone at the firm can serve clients in Spanish. California's Rule 7.1, Comment [5] speaks to this.[5]
If a Spanish page implies a lawyer can give legal services in Spanish, a lawyer at the firm must be able to.[5] If not, the page must say in Spanish the job title of the person who speaks it.[5] Give each Spanish page its own address and a plain link from its English twin.
We design and build law firm sites on the firm's own domain. The only site we show as our own work is naelar.com. The full approach is on our website design page.
Which California rules shape an LA campaign?
These four California rules apply to most law firm ads and pages in Los Angeles. Each one gets a line here and a link to the official text. None of this is legal advice.
- Every ad, landing page and site names at least one responsible lawyer or firm and an address, under Rule 7.2(c).[5]
- Business and Professions Code section 6157.2(b) says an ad must clearly show the city, town or county of at least one real office.[6] The address of record with the State Bar can be shown instead.[6]
- Spanish or other-language ads follow Rule 7.1, Comment [5], as above.[5]
- Rule 7.3 bars seeking paid work in person, by live phone call or by real-time electronic contact.[5] The exceptions are other lawyers and people with a family, close personal or prior professional tie to the lawyer.[5] We don't approach accident victims or anyone else for a firm.
The longer list for injury firms, with referral and runner rules, is on our personal injury page. For TV, billboard and Meta ads, see our guide to personal injury advertising. Your firm stays responsible for its own compliance, so check with your ethics counsel before anything goes live.
How would Naelar work with a Los Angeles firm?
Remotely, from England. Calls run in the Los Angeles morning, and your attorneys approve every ad, page and script before it goes out.
Intro call
A 15-minute call about your case types, where your inquiries come from today and who answers them.
Sign-off
Your attorneys read and approve every ad, page and intake script. Nothing runs before that.
Build
Google Ads, Local Services Ads, Meta, practice pages, the Business Profile and the CRM.
Naelar has no premises in LA, and we won't set up a Business Profile at an address your firm doesn't use. Every invite shows both Los Angeles and London times. We reply to messages within one business day.
Speed matters most after the click. Our intake and CRM build makes sure each inquiry gets a fast reply, and offshore staffing can help answer inquiries. The guide to what a signed case costs shows how to judge the results.
Which Los Angeles firms this suits, and which it doesn't
A good fit
- Solo to mid-size firms based in Los Angeles County
- Personal injury and immigration firms first, other practice areas by conversation
- Firms that can answer an inquiry within minutes, or want help getting there
- Attorneys who will read and approve every ad and page
Not a fit
- Firms that want a page for every city in the county
- Firms after Spanish ads with nobody to take the calls in Spanish
- Anyone wanting a promised ranking or number of cases
- Lead sellers and referral services. We work with law firms.
Questions about marketing a Los Angeles firm
Where is Naelar based?
In England. Naelar is a company registered in England and Wales, and it works remotely. Calls run in the Los Angeles morning, which is late afternoon in London.
Should we build a page for every neighborhood we serve?
No. Google's spam policies list pages aimed at different cities that all funnel to one page as doorway abuse.[3] Build one strong page per case type. Add a neighborhood page only where you have an office or something real to say about that place.
Can you run our ads and pages in Spanish?
Yes, if a lawyer at your firm can work in Spanish. Otherwise a staff member must speak it, and the page must name their job title in Spanish, as California's Rule 7.1 Comment [5] asks.[5] A Spanish speaker at your firm reads every Spanish page and ad before it goes live.
How long does SEO take for a Los Angeles firm?
Months, and longer for personal injury, where established firms and directories already fill the first page. Watch impressions in Search Console first, then inquiries. We don't promise rankings.
Is this only for personal injury firms?
No. Personal injury comes first, then immigration. We also talk to family law, criminal defense, estate planning, employment and other firms. Our personal injury page covers that practice area in more depth.
